Today is our 14th Girlfriend-Boyfriend or dating Anniversary (I really don't know if there is a word in english for this kind of celebration that is not a wedding anniversary...)

Edu kissed me the first time on January 30th, 1997, and we started to date... and although he says that after our wedding, this anniversary doesn't count, I reply... oh yes, this count!

Maybe is another excuse to celebrate but... who doesn't like a little of love and chocolates :P

We are moving to another apartment.. so we already start remodeling the Kitchen and Bedrooms.

Sweet baby Brandon was baptized a few days ago in the St. Patrick's Church of Miami Beach, and such a special day was celebrated by his family and friends.
I was invited to document the day and capture his beautiful smile... he was a trooper... He enjoyed all the party and didn't seem tired or cranky... Sweet boy.

I cannot not post the beautiful union of D and J, who came to Miami for their civil marriage and be close to those who they love, before they return to Colombia, where they live.
They chose to get married on 10/10/10 and make this day unforgettable for them (that is for sure!) an special day is considered lucky in Chinese culture, because the number 10 represents perfection or completion, according to the "I Ching," an ancient Chinese text.
No puedo dejar de publicar la unión de D y J, quienes vinieron a Miami para casarse por el civil y así estar cerca de aquellos a quienes quieren, antes de regresar a Colombia, donde viven.

Ellos decidieron casarse el 10/10/10 y hacer así este dia inolvidable para ellos (eso será por seguro!), un dia especial que es considerado de la suerte en la cultura china, porque el número 10 representa la perfección o la terminación, de acuerdo al libro antiguo chino "I Ching".

Sweet history of the day...
There were a brother and a sister that were separated for more of 50 years... They lost contact, couldn't find any clue that could guide them to each other and had hundred of miles between them... But thanks to the actual technology, Carlos, the groom, found his aunt and gave this gift of hope and family to his dad, who was reconnected with his sister just a few months ago, having the opportunity of being together in this special occasion...

This little boy, despite of his effort for keeping awake, he did amazing... a perfect baby model :)

Yesterday was the Light the Night Walk, an event to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where the night of Miami was lit up of hope and color... Hundreds of people gathered at Bayfront Park, walking surrounded by red balloons (for supporters), white balloons (for survivors) and gold balloons (in memory of those that are not physically among us).
Ayer fue la caminata Light the Night, a beneficio de la "Leukemia & Lymphoma Society", un evento donde Miami se iluminó de esperanza y color... Cientos de personas se congregaron en Bayfront Park, y caminaron rodeadas de globos rojos (para colaboradores), globos blancos (de sobrevivientes) y globos dorados (en memoria de alguien que ya no está).

In this post I want to thank all of those who supported our team "Click and Help!", which raised $333.50; money that will be used to help patients and their families.

As part of our activities of fundraising we made some Photo Mini Sessions, so I'd like to share with you some of these images.

En este post quiero agradecer a todos aquellos que apoyaron a nuestro equipo "Click and Help!", el cual recaudó $333.50, dinero que será destinado a ayudar a pcientes y sus familias.

I created this team in order to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). It is an organization that helps patients and their families with informative and psychological resources, as well as, medical guidance.

We'll be walking on October 21st, 2010, in the Light the Night event. It is a fundraising event organized for the LLS, where survivors, supporters, and their families get together for the cause.

All donations made through the Team Click and Help Fundraising Page will go to the LLS!

All of those who donate through the Team Click and Help Page will get a free pass for our Fall Mini Photo Session, which will be held on Saturday October 16th, 2010.

Also, you will be placed in a raffle for a Christmas Photo Session* (1-hour Photo Session, online private gallery, 1 8x10 print, 1 5x7 print and 3 4x6).

So, is just matter of time to see them succeed... And I will say that I took them photos at the beginning of their career!

Sorry for the delay but these last weeks had been crazy! My computer broke, we had family visiting us from Venezuela, I had three days of migraine... so, I had forced vacations.

Recently we went to NOLA as photographers of a wedding. We had a very great time taking pictures and walking the city; definitely NOLA is unique... funny, historic, and very photogenic, but specially delicious... I couldn't resist to try the typical food (and the not so typical desserts, yumi!)
Recientemente fuimos a New Orleans como fotógrafos de una boda. La pasamos muy bien tomando fotos y conociendo la ciudad; definitvamente New Orleans es única... divertida, histórica y fotogénica... pero especialmente deliciosa... no pude resistirme a probar la comida tipica (y los postres no tan atipicos :P

We got up very early morning, full of energy with the begining of a new day. First, we did some pics in Miami Beach and enjoyed the fresh air of the sea (before the day gets hotter, as usual in Miami!).

Later, we made a small picnic and finished the day with some photos that represent their favorite hobby... Baseball! Plaaaaaaay Baaaaall!

Nos levantamos bien temprano, llenos de energia por el comienzo de un nuevo dia. Primero hicimos algunas fotos en Miami Beach y disfrutamos de la brisa del mar (antes que comenzara el calor usual de Miami). Esta adorable jovencita hizo su Primera Comunión en la Iglesia San Patricio de Miami Beach y allí tuve la oportunidad de tomarle algunas fotos antes de ir al sitio donde hicieron una pequeña celebración.
Todo estaba hermoso y ella estaba rodeada de sus familiares y amigos más queridos.

In less of a month I have taken pictures to 3 kids that their name derives from the word Angel.... I'm starting to think that is a signal (I know... sounds crazy LOL) Angelina... Angelo... and now... Angelica
And the 3 of them are real angels that light up the life of each of their parents... pure love

This beautiful baby boy is almost like a nephew to me... he’s the son of a dearest friend who I know since I was 5... we were neighbors and classmates... we were best friends and I consider her now one of my sisters.
This is her little boy... with just 1 day old.

Last Saturday was my husband's birthday, and we are lucky to have very good friends who accompanied us that day.

El sábado pasado fue el cumpleaños de mi esposo y contamos con la suerte de tener muy buenos amigos quienes nos acompañaron ese dia.

Also we were very lucky that two of those friends, two beautiful women, made two amazing birthday cakes... I can't believe they can cook that way! OMG How do they do it?

Marilyn and Max are High School Sweethearts... He felt in love with her smile, she couldn’t resist his eyes, and on the day of their 4th anniversary they said “I do!” at the Westin Colonnade Coral Gables where they also enjoyed a beautiful reception among family and friends.

Marilyn y Max se enamoraron desde la escuela... El se enamoró de ella por su sonrisa, ella no pudo resistirse a su mirada, y en el dia de su 4to aniversario de novios dijeron "Si acepto!" en el hotel Westin Colonnade de Coral Gables, donde también disfrutaron de una hermosa recepción entre familia y amigos.

Things that make me happy are the simplest of life ... a hug, a smile and fond memories, and that is what I want for those who photograph... I want them to smile when they see their photos and remember the good times.

I have a Major in Communications, with specialization in Advertising and PR, and during my university years I took pictures with my first Canon AE-1 for some projects. I began with the photography as a hobby... and now is my dream ♥

I'm married to a wonderful (and handsome) photographer, who is my love and my partner in life. We've been together for 13 amazing years... and counting!
